Freshmen

Freshmen Orientation: East Carolina University requires undergraduate students who are admitted for the fall semester to attend one of the Orientation Programs offered in June and July. The University offers 10 two-day sessions to accommodate as many freshmen and their families as possible.

The Summer 2024 dates are:

  • Monday-Tuesday, June 10th and 11th* (Session Closed)
  • Wednesday-Thursday, June 12th and 13th
  • Monday-Tuesday, June 17th and 18th (Session Closed)
  • Wednesday-Thursday, June 19th and 20th
  • Monday-Tuesday, June 24th and 25th
  • Wednesday-Thursday, June 26th and 27th*
  • Monday-Tuesday, July 1st and 2nd
  • Monday-Tuesday, July 8th and 9th
  • Wednesday-Thursday, July 10th and 11th
  • Monday-Tuesday, July 15th and 16th

* Honors Students should sign up for Session 1 (June 10/11) or Session 6 (June 26/27). Brinkely-Lane Scholars must sign up for Session 6.

These are one and half day orientations that will begin at 8am on the first day, and end around 1pm on the 2nd. Students must attend both days.

Students will need to pay their $100 enrollment deposit before they can register for orientation through PiratePort.

Arrival and Parking Information

Parking: Parking for Orientation will be held in the parking garage behind the Main Campus Student Center on 10th Street. The parking garage is #294 on the ECU Map. If using a GPS device, you can use 501 E. 10th Street, Greenville, NC 27858 to arrive at the Main Campus Student Center Parking Garage. The gates to the garage will be open for you to enter and exit without taking a ticket.
