ECU Orientation
New Student Orientation
Congratulations on your acceptance to East Carolina University! You will find that ECU is a warm and friendly campus with faculty and staff who are anxious to assist you in achieving your academic goals. Orientation enables you to make a smooth transition into academic and campus life at ECU. You will be introduced to ECU’s community, learn about resources available to assist you in making a smooth transition, and receive information to help you be successful as a student at ECU.
New Student Orientation for Freshmen Students
Registration is now open
For freshmen entering for Fall 2024, orientation sessions will be held on the following dates:
- June 10th – 11th* (Session Closed)
- June 12th – 13th
- June 17th – 18th (Session Closed)
- June 19th – 20th
- June 24th – 25th
- June 26th – 27th*
- July 1st – 2nd
- July 8th – 9th
- July 10th – 11th
- July 15th – 16th
* Honors Students should sign up for Session 1 (June 10/11) or Session 6 (June 26/27). Brinkely-Lane Scholars must sign up for Session 6.
Students will register through PiratePort after they pay their $100 enrollment deposit.
Students are required to attend both days of orientation.
New Student Orientation for Transfer Students
For transfer students entering for Fall 2024, the dates are:
- April 19th
- May 30-31 (overnight stay)
Transfer students have the option of attending one of the in-person orientation sessions or to complete the online orientation.
Registration is now open for those dates. You can register through PiratePort for orientation after you pay your $100 enrollment deposit.
