First Year Student Orientation

East Carolina University requires undergraduate students who are admitted to attend one Orientation program. The dates for Summer 2025 are below! We ARRRGH excited to see you soon!

Students will need to pay their $100 enrollment deposit before they can register for orientation through PiratePort.

First Year Students starting in the Spring Semester

First Year students starting classes in the Spring 2025 semester can choose one of the two available Orientation Dates:

Friday, November 15^th
Friday, January 10^th

These dates are a one-day Orientation program. Check in begins at 8:00 AM and Orientation will conclude by 5:00 PM.

Orientation Dates Summer 2025

The below dates are for First Year students starting classes in the Fall 2025 Semester.

Session One: Monday, June 16- Tuesday, June 17
Session Two: Wednesday, June 18- Thursday, June 19
Session Three: Monday, June 23- Tuesday, June 24
Session Four: Wednesday, June 25- Thursday, June 26
Session Five: Monday, June 30- Tuesday, July 1
Session Six: Wednesday, July 2- Thursday, July 3
Session Seven: Monday, July 7- Tuesday, July 8
Session Eight: Wednesday, July 9-Thursday, July 10
Session Nine: Monday, July 14- Tuesday, July 15
Session Ten: Wednesday, July 16- Thursday, July 17
